Patios, paths and decking get the same attention as a driveway but at lower pressure, because the materials are softer and the pointing is easier to damage. Indian sandstone, porcelain, natural stone, riven slabs and block paving all come up well once the algae, lichen and black spot have been lifted. We work section by section so the colour returns evenly, clear out the joints, and re-point or re-sand wherever the old pointing has failed. Steps, edging and the path round the side of the house are done in the same visit.

Decking is done at a lower setting to avoid furring the timber. Done properly, most patios here hold for two or three years before they need repeating.
